After my volume control tower died and my amp followed suit, I browsed the forum to try to figure out what to do. Judging from the less than stellar reviews of those who did get their amps replaced and had it die again, I decided it was not the best way for me to waste $90 bucks more on my ProMedia 5.1 Searching around all over the interwebs, I found an electrical technician on ebay (of all places) with stellar reviews. He fixes the amps for all the ProMedia models and uses high quality parts to prevent overheating and has properly identified why some amps seem to blow up. I say properly identified, because he tells you straight up why some amps die and is confident enough to offer a 60 day warranty on it. Anyways, I sent him my amp and my volume control pod to fix for $100 total ($80 for the amp, $10 for pod, $10 for shipping) and got it back in four days (I live one city away from him so UPS ground was actually next day :D). Anyways, to make a long story short, not only did he fix my amp, he replaced my pod's faulty DIN cable with a longer one and now everything works like its brand new. If you are interested in contacting him for repairs, here is his page on Ebay.

PS Amy..if this is against the rules just give me a PM and delete this thread. I just think this is helpful for the people who miss their blown speaker systems. :D
