my first speakers were BOSE 301s (with the sponge speaker grills)...I thought they sounded great and they were priced right for college...when I had a little (and I mean a little) more cash I bought Klipsch kg2s...they were fine until (I found this place) I felt the need to get back to the beginning and get the Heresys I wanted (course in 1989 it was Heresy IIs but I prefer the regular Heresys)...so your track seems great...Klipsch has said that the F-3s are improved Reference RF-3s so...that might give you a little perspective...Synergy doesn't get too much love 'round here but they're fine sounding speakers IMO...enjoy!

If this is the case, then you can't go wrong.  I have said many times I felt the RF-3's were the best dollar-to-value speaker klipsch has made.  I even have the RF-7's that have been upgraded by DeanG.

i to had a sales man try to jam paradine on me he even got me to take it home saying it will sound great in my home. i owned a klipsch senergy f2 system first and the paradine sounded horribile compared to the senergy system so i called and said i sill dont like the paradine system and they told me i must have it hooked up wrong so they came and looked at it and every thing was fine and i was still unhappy they thuoght it sounded great so i took out my senergy system set it up right next to the paradine and showed them how much better it sounded they to my suprise agreed so i got them to take back the paradine and got a great new referance system and sold my senergy system to my brother so in my dealings snergey systems are quite good referance is awsome and paridine sucks!  i now will always be a klipsch man.

lol, that is so awesome! Very rare for a dealer to let you take a whole set home like that and then even show up to your place with an open mind. Sounds like a dealer I would keep doing business with! And congrats on your reference setup. Yes [Y]

    Re: an upgrade to reference

The first real stereo I ever heard was my mom's, she bought a pair of Klipschorns with a Heresy center.  When old enough I got my own Heresy's and later Heresy II's.  I still own the Heresy II's (22 years), but I now own a pair of RF-63's and and an RC-52, which I like much more than my old Heresy II's.  For a loud party the Heresy II's come out, for daily listening and movie watching I go with my Reference series any day.

Enough Klipsch products, which only leads to the desire for more.
