• Re: Wanted Welborne Labs Moondog's

Bruce, you have excellent taste! "Great minds think alike!"
I bought an assembly manual for my Moondogs, as I am the fourth owner. Since the trannies on mine are Magnequests, I would like to build a second pair. It was a download made available after paying, so I got what I wanted. John... if you want to have a listen to the Moondogs on a pair of LS, let me know. You aren't that far away. Bruce
• Re: "Warm" sound

It's like you're walking home from a cold winter night and settle down in front of the wood-burning fireplace.
What the heck does "warm" sound like anyway?
• Re: High end power cables?

Looks more like a diapers disposal pouch to me.

I just picked up this Ground Hanger . Never seen one but it looks like it's a pretty revolutionary product. The only flaw in the design is you can't fit one on every RCA connection. Other than that, I believe this could be the game changer.
That looks like something I eat in Silverton, CO. Rocky Mountain Oysters!
• Re: Which Valve Is Best For Hersey's

I listen mainly to jazz with the Heresy's using a pair of Dared MP-6V Single-Ended Class-A monoblocks. They output 6W each with a pair of 6L6 tubes. They produce the magic tone to express the passion in jazz music.

  • Re: Chase Home Theater sub SS 18.1 first impression

Very nice derrick, however, The SS 18.1 (2012 version) from the Chase Home Theatre page looks nothing like the one shown in the photo. I am considering getting eight (8) SS 18.1s to build a new home theatre.
The SS 18.1: the DYI sub riseres came in handy for pushing these things around and sliding them in from the garage.
• Re: 1994 La Scala's in Central Florida

Call me crazy but I drove an 8-days-5100-miles round trip to pick up 4 pairs of Heresy and a pair La-Scala last Christmas in my SUV.
I would love them but Cincinnati to Florida is just to far to drive...

so i look everyday on audiogon for cool gear and there are always "deals" on cable. all kinds. power cables that are 1,000$ and up. why? i don't get it at all. how good can it get? even budget stuff like audioquest just seems like a huge rip off. anyone on here have any measured side by sides with our beloved klipsch speakers? speaker cables, hdmi, you name it. if it makes a difference i would be interested to know.
Here's my response:
