• Re: Klipsch gathering at Mike's house in Central Florida

I'm definitely game for another go-around, Mike, and this time I'll drive myself just in case my kid bro chops backs out (he's got a new girlfriend now and is never home anymore, so I doubt he would make it). I could bring my Will Vincent-modded Baldwin Organ 6L6GC PP stereo amp and some quality pipe organ CDs. Whenever you set the date for the Klipsch gathering, please e-mail me so I can request the day off...working at Disney can make planning time off a bit of a hassle since they're
"...While I'm at it, and I hope you guts don't mind me asking, but the same listing had a pair of DCM TimeFrame 2000s also for $200. Anyone know anything about these? I couldn't find much other than they're supposedly very rare, huge, and cost $2000 in 1987 or something like that...just out of curiosity, anyone know anything?"
I borrowed my bro's DCM TimeFrame TF350s for awhile...here are their specs: 1985 DCM TimeFrame TF350

  • Re: Is it wrong to purchase an amp just because of looks?

My first Mac was a near-mint MC7200 that I've always wanted just because of its looks! Never auditioned one beforehand, but I knew I'd be happy with its sonic qualities...and I was! I'd still own it today if my financial woes hadn't caught up with me. Maybe someday when my debts are better managed and in control, I'll purchase another one (although they seem harder to find nowadays).

Your father's in a better place now, Amy...and you'll always have your memories. Cherish them always.

  • Re: R.I.P. Les Paul

Gibson Les Pauls were always coveted as "thee" solid bodied guitars many aspiring musicians hoped to own some day...while employed at Guitar Center, they were usually the first electric guitars I'd see kids pick up off the wall display to wank on (usually plugged to a tubed Marshall stack). Regardless to how modest he was, I'm sure Mr. Les Paul was *** proud of those instruments. He will always be remembered, and his creations will continue to inspire new musicians for generations

  • Re: signing off - thanks for the brotherhood

Just knowing the changes in your life are for the better, makes me feel good that you're at peace...that's all that matters most!

  • Re: JUST WHO IS THE BEST.....

And Les Paul was one helluva extraordinary musician! A personal favorite guitarist of mine is also Lindsey Buckingham, who IMHO doesn't always receive enough credit for his craft...but that's just me.

  • Re: Time for a new cd player

I was gonna mention the Cambridge Audio 840C, but it seems to be a moot point if you're interested in PCs and USB DACs...
