Mike that veneer is amazing,...
Hey seti that's not veneer, the front panels are 7/8" solid Zebrawood and can be reversed or removed (for a different type wood panel) in about 5 minutes if a different look was desired.

So, let get things straight. The 402 is the big tractrix used in the pro cinema Jubilee and a few other models? Yes, kinda! I do think it is important to also point out that the K402 and K510 are modified tractrix designs in which Roy has found ways to increase the performance of what would be a standard tractrix designs performance. Some might also be surprised to know that Roy has also stated that he would use what ever shape(ie:tractrix, exponetial, conical...whatever) and would quickly switch
As far as the advertised 400Hz xover on the khorn...that's the electrical crossover point. The acoustical xover happens closer to 350Hz or so (maybe lower, I forget). The K402 has an Fc of ~350Hz, but the tractrix loading doesn't dig all the way to its Fc the way an exponential usually does. The K402 also starts to lose pattern control around 400Hz? I forget that one too, but I know that's why Roy chooses to cross a bit higher with the Jub LF....although
I've heard lots of good things about the 402 horn but I have to tell you I'm a bit leary. I have RC7 for center and rears in the HT and I'm not sure I really like the tractrix horns in those (granted they're not 402's), but there is quite a big difference in sound and the way they disperse the sound (room coverage) compared to the exponentials in the Chorus. My wife & I both agree the Chorus sound much better in the mid/treble range ~ better coverage

Very Nice! Well worth the money! Nice looking tube gear and setup as well. mike tn

Pass Labs amplifiers would be an excellent option IMHO if you can audition any. An older model Pass Labs Aleph 30 reproduced sound on my friends KHorns that were serious competition for some McIntosh MC275, MC240 and Lamm tube amplifiers (that he also owned at the same time). mike tn

I experimented a little doing this with some Heritage Grill cloth when I was making frames for the Jubs but it tended to tear the mesh part of the Grill cloth so I didn't pusue it any farther. mike tn

(RFI) Radio Frequency Interference breakthrough. Something in your setup is acting as an antenna picking up the RFI and converting and amplifying that stations signal to ultimately become audible in your system. It can be caused by several things like grounding issues, cables and their layout, even due to the copper circuit trace layout of one piece of your systems equipment. One example of this I remember was Hafler had a problem with their DH110 pre-amp being susceptable to this problem and their
