• Re: center for my KG 5.5

When we bought the KG 5.5s for my Son, they came with the KV 3 center and I can tell you that the combo was indeed a good one. This thread stated that the KV 4 was also a good match but I can't answer to that speaker as I have never heard it. Just my $0.02 for what it is worth

  • Re: My tuner is louder than other components

I have several systems and some of my players/ tuners ect are adjustable, others are not. I have just gotten in the habit of turning the volume OFF before swtiching sources. I guess my newer AVR units could remember volume settings etc but, for me, it is much less hastle to just turn down the volume first over diging out the manual and pouring over the pages to make the AVR "remember" YMMV

  • Re: Another Stupid California Regulation..........
Perhaps if California allowed modern electric generating plants and windmill farms to be built and operated to match their consumption, they might not be so worried about plasma HDTV power draw... Chris
Nah, you don't know these power hungery "greens" here. Any reason to tell you what is good for you regardless if you need it or not, is what they like to do. On the other hand, I did see a LED screen yesterday and I must say, I was impressed with

  • Re: AVR Suggestions

Really in that price range, pick the features you like and you will be fine. You will find that most here like what they have, be it Yamaha, Pioneer, Dennon, HK, Onkyo etc. ect. ect. My personal perference is the Yamaha. I have had them since the '70s but there are just as many here that like other brands just as much.

  • Re: Nick Cage in financial trouble

Well, I must say that as a slight insider, I do know that he tried very hard to avoid the "family link" and do it on his abilities. There will be those who say otherwise, thats fine but there will also always be those who say that (name your cleb here) made it by (insert your fav method here) rather than hard work and tallent.

  • Re: Thoughts on this tube amp?

I think the weight of SILVER should be fine even though the color is 13kg! Other than that, I bet the tubes get hot. I guess I really didn't have much to say about it after all

  • Re: Nick Cage in financial trouble

I'm sorry to hear this. I grew up with him living across the street from me. He was the kid brother to my buddy and at the time, I couldn't be bothered to "put up with him" I guess the fact that when you are 16 years old, you really don't want a 11 or 12 year old "hanging" with you. He has two brothers, both older. His dad had Klipsch speakers in the home (Cornwalls I think) and was a big classical music guy.
