  • Re: i-Fi volume control malfunction

Im going to try to replace that microcontroller inside the sub when I get around to it. Im not having any trouble with the 2 channels operating on their own, but Im having my subwoofer cut out at lower volumes. Ive checked the wires once, and their fully seated. Heres a place to buy it at http://parts.digikey.com/1/parts/467232-ic-audio-attenuatr-w-mute-20soic-lm1973m-nopb.html Is there a trick to desolder multi surface mounted point's at once?

I am as well having this problem. Except, My rsx's are working fine and sound great, But It's my subwoofer that is acting up. It works on and off, but rarely. It will work if I turn the volume up atleast 1/2 way on the pod, it doesn't matter either 3.5mm jack or Ipod dock. Subwoofer setting doesn't make a difference of it turning on, the volume just has to be atleast 1/2 way and it will turn on and off inttermitently, It;s very annoying! Is it that IC chip going out?!

  • Move: WTB Black/Silver RSX-5's

Im looking to buy some rsx's, 2 actually. If anyone is trying to sell any, or know anyone who is, can you help a fellow klipsch member out? Also, i was wondering how the RB51's stack up against a pair of RSX's. The only reason im contemplating getting some is because i can get them discounted off. Im going to be using them in a room about 12x10' room, with either a sub 10, or sub 12. Amy can you move this to The Garage Sale please?

  • Re: Another bad dock

OuTpaTienT: Are you listening, Klipsch? Unfortunately I don't think they are. I've lost a great deal of respect for Klipsch just from observing how they are handling these problems with the IFI. And of course what's their ultimate solution? Discontinue the product. Way to go. Wtf are you talking about, The reason it got canceled was because of costs, as Jay said before in a post. Not because of a cry babies on the forums.

  • Thinking of a 2.1 system for my room

My room is about 12'x10'x12' almost square, Ive been wanting to get a little 2 channel system in it for a while. Right now I am using the Ifi's on my computer, and Im getting tired of them, i want something more. First question, Will a RB-51 surpass the RSX 5 in SPL? I think it will, and i hope soo, because i can get a new set of RB 51's for pretty cheap, and I think it's a good deal i shouldn't pass up. Furthermore, My subwoofer choice's right now are 10" Dayton titanic III, or the 12", in kit form

  • Re: 80GB ipod adapter

spyderracer393: nope... the OP is correct—the 80 GB is the same as the 60 in thicknes... Hes right, the 30 is the least thickest, then the 60&80 are the same. Its a big diff comparing the 30 and 60 or 80 in thickness, its fat! If you had a 20gb 3rd gen, use the next adapter size smaller and you'll have little play at all.

  • Re: iFi Loudness Problem

Your hearing you ipod HDD spooling, and that apple dosen't have a good filter for this. It's only noticable on some speakers, ironically your Ifi's are soo good that you car actually hear that noise, its probally around 20-22Khz. I would say your ipod is getting old, and use your computer instead.
