• Re: Have KG4s, looking for more sound, Cornwalls or La Scalas?

I agree with Dollar bill...If you got the room go for La Scala's, after six months living with mine I am still floored by them. Big speaker, big sound. Your room is also around the same size as mine.

  • Bridging amps...???

I have the opportunity to get another Luxman M-120a power amp locally. These amps are 120 wpc and can be bridged for 300 watts. Question:... what are the pro's and con's of bridging. Thanks.

  • Re: Bridging amps...???
To me, the downside is, if you look closely at the performance specifications (if they provide consistent ones for bridged/non-bridged) is that you will usually find that everything "doubles-up". Not only does the power increase (increase as in combine), but the noise, distortion, etc all also summed along with the power. There may other issues such a phase linearity, etc. which may or may not make a difference to you. The upside of course is more power. But
I think it is un necessary. As Artto describes you've got more than enough power. - - - - How this works as far as increasing power 4 times is interesting and puzzled me for a while. - - - - Suppose we start with two 4 ohm resistors in series as modeling an 8 ohm speaker. When hooked to one amp (call it left channel amp) the diagram is as following assuming a 1 volt output of the single/single amp: (1 volt plus from left amp) - - - 4 ohms - -

  • Re: Paradigm Servo v15 matched with RT12d
It's hard to go wrong with a Paradigm Servo 15.
Very true... I have a Servo 15 and I am very happy with it. One piece of equipment that I never feel the need to up-grade or mess with. Works very well with my La Scala's. Lots of newer Subs have more technology (bells & whistles & LED's) built in, but this sub gets the job done.

  • Re: Question about Heritage speakers particularly Cornwalls.
Hi Everyone, I am new to this community and absolutely new to Klipsch speakers. I have a couple of questions and would appreciate anyone's input. I currently own a pair of Totem Hawk floorstanders and am about to move into a larger house. I am curious about the sound of the Cornwalls and how they would compare to what I currently own. I actually heard the RF-83 today and was pretty impressed but was curious about how this particular speaker compares to the Heritage

  • Re: Would you ship internationally?
Wow... I will admit when I left earlier, I expected to come back to a bunch of posts telling me I was a dummy for not considering sending/selling overseas. No way would I have expected this many comments sharing my basic mind set.
Well Coytee you got 5 people telling you NO, but offering no reason, and 2 sayin' yes and the reasons why.....I know from where I would take the advice...... Make me #3, I have never had a problem with 30 international transactions
