what I also find as suspect is the fact that the seller is quoting a per speaker price and trying to sell a pair of the "unseen" identicals. Unless your picking these things up in person, I'd pass.

You can do it, but it really isn't recommended. Having two speakers output exactly the same sound information causes things such as comb filtering and other audio-related distortion. You're much, much better off only using one. There's a reason why 99.9999% of surround-sound receivers and pre-amps have a single center speaker output. However, if you absolutely want to do it, the best way would be to hook them up in a series
Can you recommend a model number for either the Sunfire and/or Rotel? Which speakers would you hook up to the amp, just the fronts? Mike Here's what I have. It's only 5 channel and this one is a little pricy, but if you find one in the $1000 to $1200 range their gone almost immediately. Seems others know what a diamond in the rough these are. If you want 7 channels in one amp, Sunfire also has one called the 74XX series. Any one of them would be great. I can't
The rears are a different story. I will not have a back wall, so I was just going to see how different combinations sound. I've heard mention of "false walls." Is this anything more elaborate than it sounds? Can someone point me to a thread about this? By the end of the day, I expect to complete the final of my free agent aquisitions, at least for the moment: the Chorus II. Assuming I use those as the fronts and parallel KG4s as the center (not with my

I always look at depreciation in a different way. With anything you buy, it has a value at the time you bought it. When you no longer have use of it, it still has value. The day you chose to spend that money, Say $2K for a processor. It cost you $2K for that first day. The second day it cost you $1k per day ownership. As long as you can figure out how to continue to use the item you no longer need in your main system, it has value to you and therefore becomes cheaper to own every day you do. That's
One of the biggest issues i have seen is the power loss in receivers when you run a full 5.1 or higher. I read many of the reviews that are in my sound and vision magazine and most really start to tank when you add on the channels. Check out http://www.soundandvisionmag.com for reviews on equipment. Marantz is quality, sony's tend to slack with the power as you add channels, pioneer as well. Denon is also great for receivers, onkyo as well. I do love HK, they

Chorus 1's were the first version, ported through the front, no Passive radiator, Good for not optimal corner placement, Not quite as good a performer as Chorus II's, not necessarily because of the Passive, but rather the Tractrix mid horn is an improvement over the I's. Quartet's were a passive radiatior version of Heresy's, I think they also had Tractrix mid horn also. I'd say that the best bang for the buck would be the Chorus I's That seems cheap to me. the Chorus
Is the RC 64 a good match with la scalla's? If not please help Thanks mike
If space is an issue, I.e. la scalla or Belle is too big, how about a Chorus on it's side under the TV. I believe it'll keep up with La Scalla's quite nicely. I must also agree that Academy's really can't keep up with the performance of big Klipsch. They are suited to any of the KG series, Or Forte's and Quartet's.
