I got the answer to this before but can't remember what it was. I need to repair the tops of my black RF-7's and need to be reminded what product is used at the factory. I can remember it being a Valspar product. Any help is appreciated.

Oh, that B&K sound is nice, isn't it? I currently have some RB25's hooked up to my Ref 200.5 (the RF-7's are in storage due to the arrival of my son) and even those sound *** nice.

Thanks for the advice. I am somewhat decent at woodworking but would really prefer that a professional fix this (unless that Valspar lacquer is a one step process I might try to do this myself), I really want these to be perfect again. I just bought 4 RB-25's from Michael Colter to avoid this...... I tried the RB-25's just to make sure they worked when I got them, which they did. I was VERY careful and put a diaper underneath the RB's to avoid any damage to my RF-7's. They WERE absolutely perfect before this, not one single scatch, scuff, dent, NOTHING. Personally, I think you aren't giving the RF-7's a chance by setting them to small. If the RF-7's aren't "large", I don't know what is. By setting them to "small", you are missing out on alot of the mid-range.
