  • Re: "Best" garage speakers?

Should have kept the Ug-Scalas I sold two easters ago... Badly miswired X-overs and ugly, lumpy black paint, caused them to be sold for $75 I sold them for substantially more than that, and the buyer was still thrilled to pay so little! I have a line on some SUNN full range PA speakers, I'll be testing them tonight. Should those fall thru I'll be speaking to the boys that have contacted me here.

  • Re: Can anyone shed light on this speaker?

Wow... there really is virtually nothing online about these speakers. Opening up the search a little by omitting the 'a' yielded a lot more hits on Google, but I'm unaware whether the lack of the 'a' makes the search invalid. Somebody at DIYAudio took a set of 208s apart and posted pics. Need an account there to actually see the pics, but here's a link: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/multi-way/57750-seek-info-spectrum-208s-components.html

  • "Best" garage speakers?

"Best" is the most subjective word in the English language, arguably! That said, which Klipsch fits the bill? I have a partitioned garage, 23x13 in the back portition (behind the partition and a barn-style sliding door) with a flattened cathedral ceiling, about 12' tall. The front half is 23 foot square with exposed rafters. The gable end of the back (shop) half is already wired, and I can mount the speakers anywhere from 5 to 11ish feet off the floor. Due to weather concerns here in

HIPs are also an option... I've let a few sets come and go (and a set of five HSMs notfar away a year or so ago.) If I could get more than a resounding "F Off!" from the guy with the SmurfScalas I'd use them and make up a story why they are Ford Blue!

  • Khorn-based surround system, Boston CL

No affilliation, yadda yadda yadda. Look like c1988, with a K4 center and kg .5s for rears, and Adcom in the drivers seat. Perhaps stronig money, but I have no basis on which to judge thevalue of the Adcom parts. http://boston.craigslist.org/sob/ele/1459449429.html

I kinda figured, TCC. I don't like to speak 'out of turn' (aka from a position of ignorance) especially about Other Peoples Sales, hence the conservative stance.
