http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/ele/1443026792.html One heck of a deal if you ask me. I'm not at all affiliated - just want to give forum members a heads up. Frank

Sounds like a great combination you got there. With the fronts overpowering the others, I guess you should really calibrate your speakers' levels. An SPL meter is handy with this task but trust your ears if you don't. I'd recommend a Velodyne HGS (could find them used cheap) or the newer DD 15" (or above) for your subwoofers.

Not affiliated - just want to pass a good deal (IMHO). http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/ele/1190769332.html

Have you looked at the Marantz THX monoblocks? I've seen them around quite often for less than $200.

Hi guys, The center channel fell off its pedestal resulted in both of the banana posts sheared off (where the drilled holes are). Could I replace them with any generic parts or it's gotta be Klipsch's? Thanks in advance, Frank.
That would NOT be correct. Please check facts before posting.
I stand corrected! bump for the OP.

Same woofer used in the RB-5/RB-5IIs.

I've been using the SS-3s for surrounds (in a 5.1 system) for a while now and I could tell you they keep up with the KLF fronts/center quite well - to the point that I have postponed looking for the KSP-S6s for quite some time (well, till a near mint pair litterally falled on my lap yesterday :) )

For the price, I'd highly recommended the Onkyo TX-SR876 which is cost approx. $1K on Amazon right now - or dare I say the top of the line TX-NR906 for about $200 more

Hefty power transformer, 3 separate DSPs, top notch DACs (Burr-Brown PCM1796s), Dual push-pull amplification outputs, THX Ultra2 certified...My guess is there should be audible improvements with the Onkyo TX-SR805 - well at least it was pretty obvious A/B'ing the SR606 vs the 805 hooked up the Polk speakers in the showroom I was in.
