They are real sleepers. A great little el84 amplifier. I thought mine sounded better than my Piolt 245A that should give you an indication of just how good these SC's are.

Yep, she's still here. Pilot was around the same time as the rest of the big names from that era. Scott, Eico, Fisher and the like. They were known for using great transformers. Some will say that their SA-232 is one of the best stereo el84 amps made. They have been going for crazy money lately on eBay. The 245-a is the integrated version of the 232. I'm thinking around the $400 mark. Have original manual, warranty card and Pilot envelope it all came in. Looks very cool. New quad of el84's and was gone over by my tech back in Feb of '06. Not a recap, just replaced bad parts including rectifier diodes and such.Performs great.

I use the 318B Almarro with my Cornwalls and it is an incredible combo. Deep tight bass, smooth mids and crystal clear highs. I'm set for a while. Good luck on the sale.
