Hi KG: Here's a 300B(WE91a) amplifier that I have been using for over 1 1/2 years. It uses WE 171a output transformers as well as a WE choke. The amp puts out 6 watts of power and is basically as good as it gets! For some reason, the image will not appear on this page. You can go to http://www.tubesusa.com to see the amplifier Best, George

Hello Erik: One switch activates the filaments(heaters)and the other activates the B+. I have pictures on this and other amplifiers at my website(tubesusa.com). You simply go to "George's Corner" to see the images. Thanks for your kind words. Best, George

Hi: My 45 amplifier is an AC heated with Tamura transformers, chokes, ans PT.. It's an SRPP drive section with a true dual mono design(sorry, no schematic). The only thing shared is the power transformer. The layout and construction is all mine. I used a mint green powdercoat on the chassis, with all high quality parts inside and out. The feet and volume knob are polished "stainless steel"

Hello Sean: Harman Kardon had a fairly good run with their vacuum tube products. The most desirable power amplifier amongst afficinados would be the Citation II. The Citation II was designed by Stewart Hegeman. Interestingly enough, The Citation II amplifier was born of the Lafayette 550 which also happened to be designed by Stewart Hegeman(along with Edward Duda) prior to Stewart joining HK. Harman Kardon hired Stewart away from Lafayette. The Citation II features point to point wiring and big beefy

Hi Ron: Yes. I doubt it would be cheap, but it would be a service. As a comparison, Harley Davidson has a program that allows for customers to send their motors in to be thoroughly refurbished. They don't upgrade the pistons, cams or heads and send it back to you. They simply give you back what they originally gave you in the first place( pristine rebuild). As a Harley Owner, I thought this was a pretty good idea. I also know that HD does a great marketing job across the board. Thanks for your opinion

Dear Friends: I am new to this forum, but I currently sport a pair of Cornwall speakers. I acquired these speakers to use with my low powered SET amplifiers that I personally sell. While the Cornwall speakers work wonderfully well with my equipment, I came across an idea that I thought made perfectly good sense to Klipsch in their quest to service and retain their customer base. I made a call to Keith Claytor at Klipsch. Keith is the Klipsch Press Contact for the company. We spoke for about 20 minutes
