I just bought "The Incident" and comparing it directly to Steve Wilson's solo "Insurgentes", the overlap is there but not obvious. I was listening to it just in the car though, so not a great place for it. I'll listen to it inside and see what I think.
Check into the Navy's Nuclear Power Program as an officer. See what you think. Many rewards while in and after should you decide to get out. Wrinkles
Thanks for bringing that up, Wrinkles. I should add that math is not my strong suit, reading and writing are.

I knew this was the right place to ask... Reading about it on wikipedia seems so nerdy. I'm not really commited to the idea, just sort of popped up in my brain one day. I'd have to first get in shape, I'm overweight and running isn't my thing, but I'm trying to make positive modifications to change that. I'm coming up on my last-ish year of college for my bachelor's degree, and have been toying in my mind with the idea of enlisting in the navy in hopes of becoming an officer. Google searches on the topic just bring up general information. Anyone have any information or experience on the subject? I know we have a lot of members in the armed forces.

To the OP, I have exactly the same sub except that mine was built in 1997, and I am already upgrading to a more powerful sub... and my room is only 1,117 cubic feet! It's terrifyingly addiciting!

How about a run-what-ya-brung Klipsch shootout? It wouldn't be the easiest task logistically, but if a dozen would-be Pilgrims showed up with some set-ups, DIY or otherwise, it could be a very good time. The layout could be similar to a high-end audio show, with different systems in different locations, minus the snooty attitude and $5000 interconnects. I wouldn't have anything worthy to bring, but hearing some of the awesome DIY subs and Jube-Corn-Scala what-have-yous we have floating around

Wuzzzer is totally correct. In time with a calibrated TV you will notice a huge difference in detail and PQ, and going back and watching a non-calibrated display will be an eye-opening experience. (Of course, your eyes will already be open... )
