• Got me an iPhone!

I bought my wife one as a surprise a week ago (16G). I'm was still on a 2 year old Razor. I debated for a few days, and went ahead and got myself one as well. I actually felt like barfing. $500 for a cell phone is a little hard to swallow - two in about a week was insane. Anyway, I love the little thing. (and of course right after activating it with AT&T, I jailbroke it to use community apps). Why am I talking about an iPhone here you may think to yourself... Because I was worried about using

  • Re: Terrible phobia of earphones

I hate to say this - Every time I finish listening to music I roll the Image cable around my Ipod pretty fast. Near the end I always give one harsh yank on the cable to pop the suckers out. I think I've had them for a month now? The tips stay on really well. I have 0% fear they're going to pop off.

  • Re: Custom-3s available now!

Nice! I'm so (very) tempted. It's hard to justify another $300 when I already have the Images though (drat).

  • Re: Image or Custom # for running / exercise

I can only comment on the Images. Pulling the wires over the tops of your ears isn't going to work at all. I get on a treadmill about 3-5 times per week. I always wear t-shirts with a breast pocket on one side. I put my ipod in the pocket and wind up the extra cable before starting. In my opinon - at anything over 20% volume, you can't hear any wire noise (even when running). Maybe it would be worse if I was using a belt clip and the wire was hanging all the way down. And, I haven't head

  • Portable MP3 Players

I never thought about the sound quality of portableMP3 players before, but now owning some IE's that don't suck (Imagies) I want to get something decent. I currently own a 1st Gen and 3rd Gen Ipod Nano. I like the small size of the 1st Gen but can't stand the 3rd gen size. It's very wide and I could care less about watching movies or videos on a MP3 player. I really do like "small" in mp3 players. Through just reading, I'm having trouble getting a sense of exactly what

  • I could use something for my PS3 & 360

I have a spare bedroom all to myself with a 32" LCD, 360 and PS3. I'm currently have (don't laugh) on this: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5280864 I want something better but a requirement that's hard to find in cheap 5.1 box systems is two optical inputs (or say 1 optical and 1 HDMI passthrough). I do like the design of the Pioneer system where the control unit is like a car stereo faceplate and everything else is built into the sub. I mean, if you're buying

  • Re: IMAGE vs. Custom-3
Do the IMAGE headphones actually stick out past your ear?
Slightly. The black area will curve down against your ear and (with mine) there's a slight gap between it and my ear lobe. But if I press down the whole thing (and the tip) will tilt upward slightly and the black area will rest right ontop of the ear lobe (flush). The good part is this little bit of "tilt" won't break the seal - at least for me. Laying your head on a pillow you'll

  • Re: IMAGE vs. Custom-3

Owning the Images and having nothing as good or better to compare to - I have to say I find it diffcult to imagine what "less distortion" would actually sound like. (for example) besides myself, the two people I let listen to my Image's at work that listen to Bose In-Ear's all day were amazed at how clear they sounded. Considering the Bose are $100 IE's it's a difference that pretty much smacks you in the face and say's "howdy". Could the difference in sound

You inspired me to pull out my camera again blsamuel! Maybe this will help with the understanding.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "How small are the Klipsch Images?" "Do you know what it feels like when you put a Q-Tip in your ear?" "Yes.... ?" "You've answered your own question, thanks for playing!" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Prof Thump - As far as ideas go.. I really liked the one about a drop of glue or something on the armature of one side - so in the dark you know L from R (out of the box). My current state of mind (day 3 is it?): I have to say if I lost these tomorrow, I'd order another pair ASAP (seriously). As far as comfort goes - I don't think I could stand anything else now. And, comfort level of these is equaled by how easily they form a good seal. I'd love to also try the Custom 3's and the
