I would reccommend the cheater plug as well, make sure to try it on other devices. I was getting a bad hum when I went to seperates, it was wierd because everything was connected to an AVR/ noise filter and what not. Come to find out the amp was the device causing the hum in the sub. so even though the sub is humming the actual culprit could be else where, it drove me nuts for about a week of unpluging everything and setting it back up.

That really stinks I got laid off in Feburary 2009 from the rail road, got another job pretty quick driving a truck and may get laid off again in a few weeks. They wont give us a definitive yes or no or a date. good luck

Given it's only been a few hours since your post and many of us work, it may take a little time. The RF 6 2 would not be to big for your room, I would stick with the Reference series equipment, mostly because I've not heard the new line. IMO 600 for used RF 62 seems high, you could locate a pair of RF 5 for about that price or less and get a better speaker.

surprised they're still available

I had the 805 and ps3 combo for about a year and 2nd all that wuzzer had to say. PS3 set to Multi Channel PCM and the onkyo will do it from there. I have my speakers setup pretty close to what is reccommended as far as distances are concerned and I enjoyed the Pure Direct mode the 805 offered when it came to the HD audio codecs. I know this isn't reccommended but it yielded good result in my situation.

also to add.... Ithought the movie was good, better than the first IMO, more action the only issue I had was it was longer than it needed to be, probably 25 or 30 mins too long.

got home from work late today and was going to post something about the new Transformers movie..... If you want to give your sub a work out this is a must. I didn't hear any audible distorition and I listen louder than most, and this movie was one I watched louder than most. So needless to say I was listening loud. I run all my speakers as full range at 200w x 5 ch and didn't notice anything. It could have been a factor of things. maybe it was intended that way, you amp couldn't supple

no bids, that seems like a very fair price if someone could get it at the opening bid price.
