With the strobe lighting you know its getting power. Has it worked at all after the move? Maybe an internal connection came loose? It has to make a circuit to do work.

PWK studied the resonance phenom and reported that a properly installed metal horn does NOT do it. Bob Crites pointed to the writeup here some time ago.

Yes, so it would seem. http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/t/126644.aspx

PWK said the shorthorns were not worth $300 and he wished his name wasn't on that speaker. he was "ashamed" of it.

Do you want a receiver specifically? Here is a nice Scott 299 integrated amp thats under $300 right now. A clean 299b sold for approx. $250 last week or so. I have a Sansui AU-70 that I really like that I bought in that price range. There is lots of choices out there. http://cgi.ebay.com/SCOTT-STEREO-TUBE-AMP-AMPLIFIER-299-SOUNDS-GREAT_W0QQitemZ230396689342QQcategoryZ73369QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4340.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%252BC%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D10

I'd guess you would have preferred the low end of the Patricians over the others? I mean a 20" woofer is substantial. I just think that bang for the buck, a pair of clean used Cornwalls is really hard to beat.

That prospective buyer thinks that you buy stuff on Ebay and therefore have a stock of foam and bubble wrap. He thinks that you will or should use the USPS Priority Mail flat rate boxes which are free and the free tape you can get with it. He knows that the USPS Priority Mail flat rate boxes start at $10 and end at $13 and some change for up to 70lbs. So in his way of thinking you should be charging $15.00 max for shipping. That's what I think he is thinking.

The fact that he is also offering extra woofers has me wondering what woofers are in the speakers.

That seller made one post and it was 7 months ago. Try sending him an email through the forum.
