The UMC-1 has been out for about a month now, I really want to get the XPA-5 for my RF-7's, RC-7, and RB-61's, I have heard nothing but good things. I was told they might start packaging deals, so Im saving up now and hopefuly can get an XPA-5 and UMC-1.

Well I will try and help you out as much as I can, I have both sets of speakers in my house right now. I have had the KSF 8.5's for about 10 years and the KG4's for about a year. What will you be using them for? Obviousely you know they are very different looking speakers, the KSF's are taller and sleeker, and the KG's are shorter, stubbier and a lil less pleasing to look at, but their not ugly. I used the KSF's for movies 90% of the time, and they handled that very well. But

Daryl, sorry to hear about the situation, *** happens sometimes....just to bad the other guy had to make everything public without talking to you first, oh well. And for everyone else, I bought a beautiful cherry rc-7 from Daryl a couple months ago. Everything went great, I dont have a paypal account, so I sent him a check in the mail, it cleared, he wrapped that rc-7 up beautifully and sent it on its way. Very nice guy, only chatted with him through email. Hope that helps a lil.

Thanks guys. Thats pretty much what I wanted to hear. I just dont have the $ to go seperates right now. So I think I will drive over and pick up one of the 8001's from acc4less and use that. :) The longest the receiver will ever be on is just for one movie for the most part, so I guess I wont have to many problems. And the fact that the dealer is 20 min away makes me feel a lil better if something were to happen. Thanks everyone......I will just put the xpa-5 and umc-1 and on wish list for now

Ok, bear with me here. If I got the Marantz SR8001, would I be hurting it by running my RF7's on small? Seeing how low the ohms drop on the RF7's, would it be hurting the receiver over the long run? It be used for 90% movies, and 10% music.....

Thats what Im thinking....but do you think I should go with the XPA-3 or the XPA-5, I dont mind spending the extra $200, if I am already spending $600...ya know...or will those 200w be to much for my surround RB-61's?

Do you think that is $700 better than an brand new Emotiva XPA-5?
