• Re: Transformers 2 on Blu-Ray Distortion
I am running the fronts on large at 100hz. I guess it could be that but it didnt sound like woofer distortion to me. I would think they could handle such a low volume setting but I have been wrong before. Yea the sondtrack does really impress.
Large at 100Hz? How does that work?

  • Re: TV for audio pass thru

Are you sure that the TV has digital pass-thru? My Samsung has "digital passthrough" but all it passes is two-channel audio. As far as your concern about switching if you decide to "split" the video and audio signals-- that problem is easily solved with a Harmony remote. Edit: Looking on AVS forum, I found this post: Which reminds me -- ONE PROBLEM with this TV. For some stupid reason, the optical digital out on the TV will output in stereo only when viewing an HDMI source. Panny

  • Re: Denon Blue Ray

Looks great! More than I'd spend on a Blu-Ray player, though.

  • Re: What type of recordable DVDs to use?

-R if you want to borrow/give someone a disc to play on their own system. Otherwise, doesn't really matter.

  • Re: OT: PC graphics cards - need help
what makes a graphics card blu ray compatible? first I ever heard of a gpu being blu ray compatible.
Whether or not it supports hardware acceleration is one thing, so your processor isn't doing all the work. A good graphics card that can do hardware decoding is a night and day difference. Playback is a lot smoother, and less taxing to your system. Keeps overall temps down as well. Also, being HDCP compliant is a huge plus, if your monitor is also HDCP

  • Re: hooked on 2 TV shows- true blood- HBO and Sons of Anarchy-FX

Sons of Anarchy is probably my favorite show. It's the one I look forward to most, anyway. I've converted a couple people, but I am constantly recommending it. I am really exited about the new season. First episode started off with a bang (several bangs, actually, and in more than one connotation). I have a SAMCRO long sleeved t-shirt, and am glad it's starting to get a bit cooler outside, so I can wear it again. I also love True Blood. I thought it would be a girly vampire show when

  • Re: Could AI finally be jumping the shark?

Why do you hope so? I think Ellen will be a good addition to the show. I always FF'ed over everything Paula said, so I'm glad she's gone. I don't know what kind of musical experience Ellen will bring to the table, though, and I wonder if she will be too nice to the contestants? We'll see, but I look forward to the new season.

  • Re: I think I might be condemned for this

Why would you post an underlined sentence, and not have it be clickable? That's like super-gluing a quarter on the ground and watching people bend down to try and pick it up. Funny Video, though. Here's a link that you can actually click: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lCotjd3pR8

  • Re: You know how people commonly misspell Klipsch, right?

There ad should have read "Blose and Klipsch."
Your post should have read: Their ad should have read "Blose and Klipsch."
Your good Invidiosulus!!! You picked right up on that.
Oh, so it was on purpose. And I suppose you meant to say "your good" instead of "you're good," too.
