  • FS: KLF-10's & KLF-20's

Have a mint pair of Oak KLF-10's. Perfect for mains, surrounds, or converting to a CC. $400 Also have a pair of Black KLF-20's. These were the first Legends I heard and fell in love with the sound. Bought them used a few years ago. In solid condition, but not flawless. $500 I'm located between Chicago/Milwaukee and don't have the boxes anymore, so would prefer local pick up. I'd be willing to drive a few hours any direction. Pics available upon request. michael.strassburg@cardinal.com

  • Finally a DIY sub to compliment my Legends

I was running a 4 Tempest IB sub for the past 6 months, but it just didn't have the impact to match my room full of Legends. I did the IB in a line array, so I had a 22" x 75" hole in the wall covered by a frame and speaker cloth, so it was a stealth set up and nothing in the listening room. That part I liked, but I missed the ported sub. Then I realized what needed to be done. I built 2 17^3 boxes tuned to 18Hz and stacked them in the spare room firing through the IB hole and hidden by the same

  • Re: Ok guys, need recommendations on DIY 15" sub components....

Here's one design: 2 Tempests, 1 Hypex plate amp, 1 big hunk of sonotube. Measured 127+ dB @31.5HZ in my room. Total investment was about $900. I built it because I like to build things, so the labor price doesn't factor in for me. LOTS of proven designs out there. Blake would be better of searching other DIY forums.

  • Re: Suggestions for "musical" sub $1000-$1200?

I know this won't really help but an IB sub is THE best I've ever heard for music. I've got a room full of Legends and it blends seamlessly and is accurate beyond belief. You might want to consider it as there are many ways to install them and it's not hard at all. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. I demoed a Rel several years ago and was very impressed sound qualiy wise, but not for the $$$. Did little for HT, but was nice for music. Best bet is to start demoing a bunch of local ones

  • Re: FS: KLF-10's & 20's

Brad, Not a problem as I'm not in any hurry to sell them, just thought if some fellow Klipsch members were looking I'd make them available. Right now they're sitting in the basement and niether pair has been used in over a year. My email address is: Strass7@comcast.net Use that if/when you want them as I'm not on here that often. Thanks...Mike

  • FS: KLF-10's & 20's

I have a pair of oak 10's and a pair of black 20's that are just sitting in the basement, so if anyone is looking to expand/upgrade let me know. I live between Chicago/Milwaukee and will only do a local pick-up as I don't have the boxes for them. I'm willing to drive an hour either direction. Oak 10's for $400 Black 20's for $550 Both pair are in good condition and pics are available upon request. Thanks...Mike

  • Re: subwoofer for klf-20s?

If size and color isn't a concern I'd build a sonosub like I did. 2 Tempests and a plate amp. Can go with a cheaper amp and do the whole thing for probably $600-$700. Also there are better drivers out, but I went most bang for the buck. U-571 depth charges will make your pants move. I'm talking MAJOR impact. I've heard nothing commercially that comes close, but I'm sure there are subs that will for mega bucks. I'll also second the IB sub as that's what I'm building in a few weeks. If you're reasonbly
