I would most likely prefer to build a cabinet like that out of Baltic Birch plywood, it machines well and is very stiff, as well as being less fragile than MDF. For a smaller cabinet, or one that isn't likely to be moved much, MDF is what I will generally use. You can also see if you can get MDO ( medium density overlay ) from your wood supplier. Also, I am not a fan of the 'MDF' smell or outgassing when a vented enclosure is in operation. I have used it for vented enclosures, but I have

I have been told many a time that I am 'not' OK.

Does anyone else see no wires coming from the tweeter? There are none that appear to run along the 'rubber' shock mounts for the $ 3.00 tweeter. $ 3.00 tweeter and $ 10.00 stamp frame 8" woofer... in a generic mdf box with a black vinyl laminate... I certainly would not have paid $ 300 for a pair.

The DIY kits don't have the same resins and other chemicals that are used in the real deal 1-1 mix component bedliners. I have used the spray cans available here, as well as the roll on kits. While they are better than a conventional paint, they can't hold a candle to something like the Line-x. Generally the DIY kits are a much harder coating, but by the same token, they don't absorb energy like a product that is a bit more 'rubbery'.

The brand name is SEM, they produce a lot of different coatings for the automotive aftermarket. He coated the woofers on his Heresies with the satin black vinyl spray. A few light coats won't add any appreciable mass, and it will aid in water resistance.

Keep in mind that resin by itself is not very durable. Resin is used in combination with glass fiber, which yields a flexible, yet strong material with impact resistance. Sort of how concrete is not durable without steel reinforcements. If you had used MDF, it will soak up either polyester or epoxy resin and become very hard. Birch plywood isn't like MDF. ( whereas MDF is like a sponge ) You can use up the resin ( I am assuming it is a polyester and not something like the West Systems epoxy

A view from the other side.... I had two extra 75 foot rolls of cable as well as the 156 feet of wire on the winch plus chain to reach this vehicle. The closest I could get where I could winch from was over 150 feet away, as I had to winch it through some trees along the bank to where the guardrails and posts ended.

Every day.... and I mean EVERY day.... I find people that drive off the road for no reason at all.... there simply is NO excuse. I have heard all of their feeble excuses, and all I have to do is take a look at the marks. I know when someone is B.S'ing, it doesn't take a rocket scientist for recreating what happened. Distraction kills. Whether it is someone reaching for their cell phone, orange juice, dropped candies, searching for a song on their I-pod, applying makeup, changing behind the
