  • Cornwall I - Al K's 2004 xover woofer inductor/cap mods

    Al updated his 2001 Cornwall 1 xover recommendations in 2004 after acquiring the equipment to measure complex woofer impedances. Unfortunately, he at that point no longer owned Cornwall's to actually hear the results. I'd really appreciate hearing from those of you that implemented these mods...

  • Finishing suggestions for Cherry Veneer on Cornwalls?

    Hi everyone- this is my first posting. I bought a pair of '72 (I believe) vertical walnut Cornwalls from a friend for $30.00 and have been enjoying them immensely. The internal components (replaced caps in crossover) and grills are fine, but the walnut veneer was beyond refinishing with lots of chips...

  • Cats and Cornwall's

    A friend of mine bought a pair of 1980 oiled walnut Cornwall I's built by Andy. They came with the original documentation. Sold new for $1,396.00, he got them for $430.00 Problem...looks as if a cat peed on the riser and grills of the speakers. The risers smell and are separating. The bottom of the grill...

  • Re: Heresy II project

    Heresy II after 6 coats of Tung oil. Hand rubbed between each coat. The oiled walnut Cornwall's in the background are a little redder in color. These are finished in Tung oil also, but it took only 5 coats.
