MAINTENANCE THIS WEEKEND!
From Friday, October 10, 2008 at 7PM (EDT) thru Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 6PM (EDT), the Klipsch Group IT department will be will be performing an upgrade on our networking equipment. This will affect the online status of our web servers.

During the upgrade the external websites which include the Klipsch.com Brand Web Site and the Klipsch Community Web Forum and Blogs, will be unavailable for extended periods of time. While we do not foresee the web sites being down all weekend, the sites may be unavailable at various times until the network upgrade is completed.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you for your patience during this necessary upgrade.

  • Re: Blu-Ray/HD-DVD Battle May Not Matter

I like streaming, my building is wired by Verizon FIOS and I really do get some bandwidth because we are a switched network, not broadcast like comcast. Far as the copy protection goes, total bull, people should be allowed to make an archival copy of a movie, and copy protection is like safe sex w/a...

  • Re: Center Speaker Recommendations

Personally, I was faced with a similar conundrum, I have two Heresy II's (vintage 1990) with new woofers and BEC crossover networks and a pair of 5 year old Heresy II's, so I put one of the older ones in as the center channel, set my receiver for 3 speaker mode, but truthfully, in two speaker...

  • Re: Has Blu-Ray won?

I don't really know, but a quick perusal through the Dell online catalog seems to see it that way, I can get an external Blu-Ray player for about $330 and an internal burner for about $999 ( 1000 bucks)...Guess they win, I'll wait till the prices drop and buy the internal drive.

Now I just have to replace the Sony Wege I've been using for years, but I have this thing for classics that work well...

  • Re: First impressions of my new Blu-Ray player

The PS3 ia a great idea, good graphics processor and priced relative to my Blu-Ray drive which is Writeable, so I can make archive copies of my new BD's or just rip the movie part into an avi, and put several avi files on a BD disk. Sure I'd love a PS3, but I am starting to develop an addiciton...

I'm more of a "True Romance", "Pulp Fiction kind of guy. ALthough I do the new Star Wars trilogy on occasion and I do game. I bought an LG Blu-Ray burner through newegg.com and my slysoft software has no problem handling it. My TV isn't HD, I'm holding out for another year...
