A couple days later, I hooked it up and the left speaker didnt work, I suspected wiring so I switched the wires and checked and now neither speaker works. Looking at a couple of options I opened the sub and found a blown...

  • Replace Speaker terminal on ProMedia GMX 2.1

I upgraded the speaker wire on my ProMedias to 14 gauge (and soldering the rca connector onto one end was NOT fun). But now I find the 14 gauge wire is too big for the tiny, spring-loaded speaker terminals on the back of the GMX 2.1 sub-woofer...and the connection is just cheesy. Has anyone replaced...

The subwoofer in my 2.1s just stopped working today. The satellites are working fine. I checked the fuse and it is OK as well. • Promedia 2.1 Subwoofer low volume output

I just bought a used set of Promedia 2.1 speakers and they seem to work fine with one exception. I have to have the subwoofer set to the max volume to get a fair amount of bass oout of the sub. I know there is a mark at the 10 oclock position where Klipsch says it should be set but I get very little...

  • Can speaker in ProMedia 2.1 subwoofer cabinet be replaced?

The black rubber parts of the speaker have deteriorated, and the speaker buzzes even at low volumes. I opened up the subwoofer, but it seems the speaker is actually glued in place. Has anyone tried to remove and then replace the subwoofer speaker? Any other recommendations? Thanks, Pete

We have had this speaker system in my class for like 4 years now and we finally hooked them up. The volume control knobs work backwards and the satellite speakers play but with low volume (though the knobs are turned completely to "Min"). The subwoofer does not work at all and only a small...
