I currently have the promedia 2.1 system. I was looking into getting promedia 4.1 system as well, to try to make a 5.2 speaker system to hook up to my HTPC. Has anyone tried to modify their promedia 2.1s so that it can work hooked up to the center/sub output on their computer? Is there an easy cabling...

A book fell off the back of my computer desk and landed square on the pre-amp plug going into my subwoofer. For a while, my right speaker would cut out and I was able to jostle the plug to the point where the sound could come back. It was a constant battle to get the sound to come out of my right speaker...

Thanks for the response. I tried both of them, but it seems that it works in the headphone jack and not through my computer. I put an order in for a new control pod. Will this fix it, or am I just wasting money. The seller on Ebay is giving me the run around and I will probably have to wait a couple...

I just bought a set of ProMedia 2.1 Speakers off Ebay. Maybe a bad decision on my part, because they said they were brand new and in 100% working condition, but they were also cheap. Anyways, I have read through the forums and checked all of the connections and boards inside the sub and the control pod...

I just contacted customer support so I will see what happens. I had read about the 5.1 system having heat problems and burnt resistors etc. so I opted not...

My 3 rd occassion! this has become very frustrating. My current wire broke just 3 months' after my extended warrantee expired. After reading this sites comments...

Hi, I own a pair of Promedia 2.1 THX speakers (about 2 years old and in great condition). I am moving to India in a few weeks and realized that these are 120 volt (India is 220 / 230). Is there any way that I can either convert these? Failing that, I have heard that the ProMedias are available in 230v...
