  • WF-35, WC-24

So the speakers are set up, been playing them almost constantly for a week, and...I find myself missing my RF-63s, which I'd paid $1000 less for ($1075 clearance vs full price for the WF-35s), and which needed a sub less than these guys do. Yup, I'm kicking myself. Sure, the WF-35s look better...

  • Dazed and confused

ok, I'm buying a klisch HT and would like to know what the best speaker choice is for the fronts. I've been spinning around looking at rf-83, rf-82, rf-63, rf-7 and AAARGH. any recommendations? I'm not anxious to pay the premium on the rf-83 if improvements aren't significant (or if they...

  • Re: Looking for a center channel replacement to go with KLF-20's

Thanks for the input everybody. I just sold my receiver and my new one doesn't come until next week so I will have to wait to test the Phantom Center channel mode. The replacement will be a Pioneer Elite SC-05. I am pretty familiar with timbre matching. I thought that the RC Series of center channel...

  • Big speakers (RF-83) for a small room

Hi everybody, I was planning to buy RF-63 speakers but the only Klipsch dealer in Lithuania doesn't have those. So I have only one option left – get the RF-83s. The problem is I'm afraid they might be too big for my room which is only 20 squere meters (215 square feet). Has anybody tried...

  • Re: RC-84?

You folks all bring up some great points. Most of this discussion is quite accurate. Jay even got it right! Those Custom-3’s must be doing their job. There are several things to consider for LRC designs. Here are some rules: 1. Most dialog comes from the center channel. That is where the image...

  • Re: Bose 901

This is about the 901 - the world's most overrated speaker, but Amy Unger, I hope you take some notice of this rather long winded posting: I remember when I first moved back east to go to College, I grew up in Carlsbad, CA, where every good home, including ours had a stereo; a pair of ' 62 Khorns...

  • Re: Need some opinions

No way, go with the RF-83, maybe an RC-64 in addition, the center channel does add presence. As a guy who has grown up with Heritage series equipment, I see the RF series as a serious step in evolution. As an owner of both Heritage and RF series, I prefer the RF series for listening. Geez, the Cornwall...

  • New to Klipsch and HAPPY!

I recently "lost" one of my (Front) Celestion 7000's (Hybrid Ribbon/Cone) speakers. I think I bought them in 1989. I really enjoyed the sound for the last decade and a half, but life moves on. I narrowed down my choices to B&W 804s and the Klipsch RF-83's. The B&W's were VERY smooth but seemed...

  • To subwoofer or not to subwoofer - that is the question.

First some clarifying info - I'm kinda a noob but set to buy some floor-standing speakers from the Reference line. Initially these speakers will be in my small living room and will be primarily used for music, but occasionally movies. I listen to everything in the spectrum between jazz and dance...

  • Re: RF-83 vs RF-63 vs RF-82 - Please help with selection

I noticed that in addition to the rf83 rc64 you also own icon xf48s. I have a pair of xf48s and am looking for the best center channel to go with them. I've heard the icon center channels have a lower quality sound than the xf48s. I auditioned the rc62 with the xf48s and the match was pretty good...
