  • Newbie Alert! RF-52 what in-ceiling works best

I am going to be buying the RF-52 package...with one difference. I have no place to mount the surrounds so I will need to go with ceiling mounts. The 100,000 dollar question is which one to go with. I also have another question. I was thinking about getting the Onkyo TXSR605B to drive this system. Would...

  • Re: RF-82 vs RF-63 for both 2ch and HT

I have never seen the RF-63's for demo, good thing, I saved a lot of money. I own both Heritage and RF/ RC series stuff, frankly, I like the RF/RC series. I run a pair of RF-52's with an RC-52 and it does a beautiful job in a relatively small room (12x8x10), be it Jazz, punk or HT apps. Man,...

As a native of Oceanside and now a resident of New England, I can make but one tangiental comment to the direct-reflcting concept; "No highs, no lows..get Bose". When I was growing up as a kid in So. Cal I was used to open airy sound from speakers, when I first came east to go to college someone...

  • Re: How do today's klipsch compare to 5 or 10 years ago?

Today's Klipsch are way better than 5 or 10 years ago. I have owned or been around Heritage series stuff for a good portion of my life and the Reference series is a real evolution in design. In 1962, my mom, like any good Carlsbad, CA housewife had a stereo installed, MacIntosh Power and a pair of...

  • Re: Please Help: Synergy F-3 mains w/ RC-62 center channel. Will this sound terrible together?

As an owner of both Reference and Heritage series, and some one who loves to go to Best Buy, I am surprised they charged a restocking fee. I purchased an RC-52 from Best Buy, that afternoon I found it for a lot less from an authorized on-line dealer, so I returned the RC-52, they didn't apply a restocking...

They are both excellent choices, there is an online dealer (http://www.universallcd.com) in NY that will get you the RF-63's for $1499.99 and the RF-82's for $799 a pair, that's quite a price difference. Like all things sonic, it comes down to which you like better http://www.universallcd...

  • Re: Stores

It is the "big box" stores like Best Buy that have brought Klipsch to New England, so even those of us with $$$$ to spend are wise to go to the "big box store" where there are bound to be a few young hotties to look at as well as our favorite products. Best Buy will have all the names...

  • Re: Home Theater Receivers and Klipsche

This one is easy, I have the RF-52's and an RC-52, I use a Yamaha RX-V661, conveniently available at BestBuy for peanuts (relatively speaking), I drive it through a creative digital I/O module attached to an SB X-Fi audio extreme, conveniently, the I/O module lets me run a spdif cable to my receiver...

  • Dark Hearted Traitor no more

It finally happened, I had a Klipsch breakdown, a crossover died in my Heresy II's, and I had to call Bob Crites and son in for emergency. Pound for pound, when it comes to the bottom line, the Heresy II's do kick the boo-boo out of my RF-52's/RC-52/RW10D. When Bob sends me the new crossovers...

  • Re: Dark Hearted Traitor no more

Total leap of faith once I get the new crossovers from Bob Crites. I don't know if timbre will blend or not...if i doesn't the RC goes on the auction block with the RF-52's the RW-10D will hopefully blend as well... I like the idea and sound of the center channel, but not at the sake of compromising...
