• Re: So why Jubilees....
remember.......not kitkat, not flipflop, or even trickydicky.....tractrix....modified that is...... in Christ, because of God's grace, roy
There is a large discontinuity (i.e., area of essentially zero curvature) in the K-402 shape about 2/3 the distance...

  • Heresy II to Heresy III

Ok, I did it, one pair of my heresy II's (year 2000) has been converted to H III's, few things I noticed. 1. Mount the new crossover upside down so you get more cable to each speaker. 2. Yep the HIII's have more bass, yep they are more efficient and because they are new drivers, the will...

  • Re: Heresy II owners needed!!!!

It was fun talking to Mark (Klipsch maven and Engineer) and corresponding with Mike. Mike has a valid point. If my input cups were cut low, that would explain the wiring snafu. All in all, this has been a really good experience, the Klipsch team responded with due alacrity. Of course it was Mike that...

  • Re: Heresy II to Heresy III

Nope, the sound quality is totally Klipsch and bloody awesome. I spoke to some of the Klipsh personnel today, and told them what I had done, so the instructions to install may change a little as a result. Turns out the magnet on the new tweeter is 3x the size of the old one, so making the hole larger...

  • Re: Heresy II owners needed!!!!

Mike, the more I listen to them, the more I really like them, I'm taking the guts of one of the HII's to make a center channel, does it have to be apx 2.0 cubic feet in volume, my version, a little longer, which puts less psi on the tv almost makes sense, but it is slightly larger in terms of...

  • Re: Am I a dark hearted traitor

Sorry...I bought the conversion kit to make the Heresy II's to Heresy III's, it is truly awesome. The guts from my HII's are going into a pair of scaled down LaScala's and I'll be co promoting them with my Linux based digital media server. There really is nothing quite like the Heritage...

  • Re: Heresy Deal!

The best bargain I got was the HIII conversion kits. At $277 per speaker I got something new, more dynamic, more efficient and most importantly, better sounding than my H II's. Since my cabs are flawless, I'll get another 20 years out of them. the guts from my HII's are going into Lilscala's...

  • Re: Am I a dark hearted traitor

Thanks James, Actually I just purchased and installed the HIII conversion kit and wow...really awesome. My GF has taken over the R?-52 stuff for the living room, so the Heresy's live in my lab/play room apparently they are now considered HIII's by Klipsch personnel, internally they are HIII's...

I am keeping th HII guts as either a center channel project or a lilscala project. They are some really great guts.
