  • Knocked Out Sub in an RP-5 HELP!

I have a couple of old RP-5 floor speakers, ones with the 12" subs on the sides. Anyways one of the subs sounds like it got knocked out of alignment. It still puts out sound, but it rattles (against the speaker case) is there a way I can put it back?

I bought a 2 year old system off of someone for $50 and everything was working. • Re: i-Fi volume control malfunction

dbert -- thanks for the kind words and additional information on the MC86Hcrlk38%#82148$8* IC. Well, that's a surprise of sorts. I just took my dock apart and yep, that's a scary thing to see. That's basically a PLA, similar to a custom microprocessor circuit. Very complex internally -- which...

hi there - new here, and yes, I have a iFi that is having the same problems with the iPod dock/volume. I think many have been asking the wrong questions here for some time. The issue is, what specifically is causing the problem and what can users do to rectify that problem. It's no benefit to speculate...

  • Re: promedia ultra 2.0: sometimes no sound

I posted on this a few months ago... Thanks to the good folks on this board, I found the DeOxit solution. After removing the 10 screws (at least 2 too many) the rest was simple and the full volume control, crackle-free sound, and quality audio was restored -- for a while. After about a month left on...

  • iGroove SXT remote problem

Hi, I've only had my SXT since Christmas and I'm already on my second remote control which has now just gone as dead as the first. None of the controls have any effect - can't increase/decrease the vol, skip tracks etc. The original control I had lasted about a week before it developed this...

  • Re: Noise. Static/fuzz noise from all speakers.

I have had the v.2 400 series speakers for nearly 9 years now. I remember having to get the controller replaced because it was buzzing and the volume adjustment created static (this was around 2002). Since then I have been blasting and blasting and blasting ..... continously since then. Last year both...
