  • Knocked Out Sub in an RP-5 HELP!

    I have a couple of old RP-5 floor speakers, ones with the 12" subs on the sides. Anyways one of the subs sounds like it got knocked out of alignment. It still puts out sound, but it rattles (against the speaker case) is there a way I can put it back?

Reason why i want to do this, is because i want everybody to share their thoughts and techique on how to fix these SUB problem everyone to seem to be having which are the BASH chip and etc...

    Hi dbert - Thanks for the comments and follow up. Well, a few to add, process of elimination and avoiding the grimbly. I received a response from Klipsch today re. volume issues. Their response to my request for service info. etc: "purchase a new dock" for $57. Provided they suggests takes...

    hi there - new here, and yes, I have a iFi that is having the same problems with the iPod dock/volume. I think many have been asking the wrong questions here for some time. The issue is, what specifically is causing the problem and what can users do to rectify that problem. It's no benefit to speculate...

    I posted on this a few months ago... Thanks to the good folks on this board, I found the DeOxit solution. After removing the 10 screws (at least 2 too many) the rest was simple and the full volume control, crackle-free sound, and quality audio was restored -- for a while. After about a month left on...
