    Thanks for all the help, I installed a solen 4.3uF cap from parts express over this last weekend, and with tear in eye, I now have clean sounding audio again. I like that parts express I bought some other odds and ends from them too.. you know... while I had the order open to make shipping worthwhile...

    I've went back and completely retraced the pcb board and components, and although I still could be making a mistake I'm think I have it accurately represented, if someone could set me straight I'll double check my pcb, and maybe we can get a decent drawing for everyone else? I found were sonicap has a 4.3uF cap. Is that good enough or does it need to be precise? There isn't much room on the...
