  • Re: Promedia 4.1 sub died. Looking to replace scorched resistors

Update: The two burnt resistors are in positions R12 and R26. These are fairly well-known resistors-o-death from what I am picking up. The grey resistor was the R12 one. Can anyone tell me what I need to buy exactly for R12 and R26? R26 looks to be so badly scorched that I can not easily distinguish...

  • Promedia 4.1's down

I'm really bummed out right now, I just got home from classes and my speakers don't seem to be working. I have a set of Klipsch Promedia 4.1, that I bought second hand and they have worked fine, until now. I'm not really sure what happened, but I think it is something to do with a power surge that recently...

Hello everyone. First post here... I recently auditioned the complete Reference series at a dealer in Athens, Greece. I was really impressed and I'm ready to buy a 5.1 system consisting of RF series speakers. I'm however concernced whether an update to the RF series is planned for the near future. I...

  • Klipschorn for Sale (signed by Paul Klipsch)

Greetings all, Some of you may recall a thread regarding these speakers approx 2 years ago. I have waffled back and forth on this for a number of years (speakers have some sentimental value) and at one time posted the speakers on Ebay. After I saw the interest generated in this forum I yanked the auction...

  • PM 4.1 Replacement Parts

I've got a set of PM 4.1's where the Pre-Amp is fried. Does anyone know where I might be able to get a replacement Pre-Amp? I checked the Online Store for Klipsch but they only seem to have the 2.1 Module. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, -Dennis Cherney

  • LFE for my old ProMedia v.2-400?

Hello, I am still using my old ProMedia v.2-400 speakers. Does this old model handle well for LFE? I noticed some software players support it. They do have warnings not to use it if speakers can't handle LFE and possible damages. Thank you in advance. :)

  • RF-7 , RF-83 or RF-63

I visited a dealer in Almere (The Netherlands) with the whole range of Klipsch Speakers and was impressed of the sound quality of the RF-63. I own a couple of thiel 1.5 speakers since 1995 and want to look for another (bigger and nice sounding) speaker. I also heard the RF-7 which sounded more refined...

  • Klipsch Product Expansion?

Hello out there fellow audiophiles. I've got a wicked idea and I want to let ya'll in on it; maybe you can help. I'm new to Klipsch, with only an iGroove HG under my belt (though the Synergy series is calling my name), but I'm hooked. I've used the iGroove HG at school, all day every day and it hasn...

  • Old Klipsch ProMedia v2-400's subwoofer acting weird.

Hello! For some reason, I get too much bass or too little even though I haven't touched the computer's volume mixer (Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS) and speaker volume controls. With very little bass, I noticed if I turn my subwoofer from its lowest setting a little higher, then I feel a...
