  • Re: Replacement part needed (left 3" mid-bass driver blown)...

...more detail (for the Klipsch THX Promedia 2.1 sound system)... The blown speaker is the 3" long-throw fiber-composite cone midbass driver... rated 200Hz - 1KHz (all channels driven, includes tweeter). The floor Subwoofer covers the 40 - 100 Hz range, so it seems like upgrading the 3" midbass driver...

  • Re: Promedia 4.1 sub died. Looking to replace scorched resistors

Update: The two burnt resistors are in positions R12 and R26. These are fairly well-known resistors-o-death from what I am picking up. The grey resistor was the R12 one. Can anyone tell me what I need to buy exactly for R12 and R26? R26 looks to be so badly scorched that I can not easily distinguish...

  • Promedia 4.1's down

I'm really bummed out right now, I just got home from classes and my speakers don't seem to be working. I have a set of Klipsch Promedia 4.1, that I bought second hand and they have worked fine, until now. I'm not really sure what happened, but I think it is something to do with a power surge that recently...

  • Re: I want to buy a Monster cable 2.1 from online store, can anyone tell me where I can get it?

I'd be skeptical about anything except lowering impedance, by going with a 14 gauge wire or 14-2 twisted pair. I had a monster cable for SPDIF, darn thing worked for about 1 month, cracked, then I went and bought a $30 cable which has worked like a charm.

  • 2 problems

Hello. I bought my ProMedia 2.1's used and the guy had had them hooked up earlier on, so maybe he gave me different cables. Well actually he gave me minijack to minijack cables and said to split them on one end and hook it up. I did this and tested them on my dad's old Yamaha amplifier that uses...

  • Promedia v2-400 rear right speaker isn't working

Does anyone know if a speaker for the v2-400 can be replaced and where to find a new one? If not can it be fixed easily? The right rear speaker has fallen off the stand one too many times and is no longer working. I know that it is something with the speaker and hesitate to open it.

  • Re: Help!!! ProMedia 2.1 Right Channel Does Not Work.

This worked for me takes only a couple minutes and is very easy. Okay guys, ealrier today after playing some obnoxiously loud death metal I realized that my right channel was getting all distorted and then stopped working completely. Naturally, I freaked. I felt releived when I found out that the right...
