  • Re: Recommendations/Opinions for Klipsch System

Hi Mike, We like to call it playing with "ear cheese". Sounds much more fun than ear wax, but it doesn't make it any more fun. I got to admit I clean my ears more than once a year now. Just a joke... You 07 pilgrims heard this inwall or the THX version KS-7800. Both sound great and are extremely wide...

  • Re: Recommendations/Opinions for Klipsch System

DrWho: I almost wonder if you shouldn't consider an in-wall speaker for your surrounds instead. I'm sure many are going to jump in and proclaim it heresy, but I think many would be surprised how nice the new inwalls sound. I've never heard them side by side, but I'm pretty sure the inwalls sound better...

  • Need advice on rear surrounds

I currently have the following HT setup. Panasonic 42X75U, Onkyo TX-SR505, RB51, RC52, RPW-10, and SS.5. I am looking for advice as to whether I should replace the SS.5's. I do not have a wall to hang speakers on, so I purchased Omni mount adjustable stands that can be raised as high as 58" for the surrounds...

  • Re: How do today's klipsch compare to 5 or 10 years ago?

Today's Klipsch are way better than 5 or 10 years ago. I have owned or been around Heritage series stuff for a good portion of my life and the Reference series is a real evolution in design. In 1962, my mom, like any good Carlsbad, CA housewife had a stereo installed, MacIntosh Power and a pair of...

  • Re: Stores

It is the "big box" stores like Best Buy that have brought Klipsch to New England, so even those of us with $$$$ to spend are wise to go to the "big box store" where there are bound to be a few young hotties to look at as well as our favorite products. Best Buy will have all the names...

  • Re: Two Pair Heresy's, Optimal HT Hookup ?

Thanks for the suggestions, I think I may go with all four on the floor, and I can set up my receiver (Yamaha RX-V661) for all kinds of DSP modes. I have thought of a sub for the heavy lifting. I have also thought of going one HII Center channel, because I can do cinematic DSP modes, but I can set for...

  • Re: Two Pair Heresy's, Optimal HT Hookup ?

Y'all were pretty much on the money, 4 on the floor, and I'll spring for a sub as the Heresy II rolls off at 57 Hz. A fifth Heresy II, not a bad idea, in a 12 x 8 room, it may be a bit much, but hey, this is my penance for trying to get the R*-52 series to do the work of a pair of HII's....

  • Re: Two Pair Heresy's, Optimal HT Hookup ?

Nope, they are in a semi circle position, I am set for four speakers, I use either the DSP cinematic effects or 2 ch Enhanced modes, it is an impressive wall of sound. . I really need a sub woofer and maybe another HII for a center channel, but then again there will be furniture issues, all of my HII's...

  • Help with Rear speaker placement

I just bought my front three speakers and last night I blew out my old rear speakers with my new Yahmaha v1800 reciver. So I am looking to get some new ones to compliment my RF-82 fronts and RC-52 center. My big problem is placement and which rears to get. Attached is some photos of my set up. This is...
