  • Promedia 2.1 Amp

I bought a 2 year old system off of someone for $50 and everything was working. A couple days later, I hooked it up and the left speaker didnt work, I suspected wiring so I switched the wires and checked and now neither speaker works. Looking at a couple of options I opened the sub and found a blown...

  • Re: promedia ultra 2.0: sometimes no sound

I posted on this a few months ago... Thanks to the good folks on this board, I found the DeOxit solution. After removing the 10 screws (at least 2 too many) the rest was simple and the full volume control, crackle-free sound, and quality audio was restored -- for a while. After about a month left on...

  • Crackle sound in Pro Media Ultra 5.1

I have had this speaker system for about 4 years now, great system by the way, but recently I have been having a little trouble. My center speaker has been emitting a "crackle" sound on top of the audio that comes from the speaker. Once in a great while it will sound crisp with no issues what...

  • Promedia 5.1 busted... pls help.

All of a sudden they went out with a funny noise. Now I can turn them on and off, the numbers on the volume move but I only get a whistle out of them which doesn't get louder or lower with volume settings... the high pitch whistle also seems to pulsate and if I wait several seconds there is a different...

  • Loose Connector, No Sound

Recently I've discovered that the connector on the back of my left speaker is loose. This has made it so that the left speaker does not work well. In order to get sound from it, I have to apply slight pressure in a certain direction. I've created a workaround wherein I've put some of the...

  • Re: Help!!! ProMedia 2.1 Right Channel Does Not Work.

This worked for me takes only a couple minutes and is very easy. Okay guys, ealrier today after playing some obnoxiously loud death metal I realized that my right channel was getting all distorted and then stopped working completely. Naturally, I freaked. I felt releived when I found out that the right...

  • Terrible customer service Promedia Ultra 5.1

This complaint is twofold. My subwoofer died last February, but after contacting Klipsch support they told me that my control pod had failed. I ordered a new one through their site, and this still did not resolve the problem. I informed them of this and did some research on my own, and found out that...

  • Klipsch promedia 2.1 static when adjusting volume

Hi, I have a Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speaker set for my computer (and it's fantastic!) that I've been using for well over a year. I got it second hand from a friend of mine, and it performs extremely well, but we've both experienced the following problem: When adjusting volume with the volume...

  • Re: Promedia 2.1 left channel doesn't work sometimes

What do you mean by aux wire input? I have the same problem too. I used another control pod, and the left channel still doesn't work. This is the second set of Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 that I bought and has the same problem.

  • Promedia 2.1 Subwoofer Driver replacement

I'm looking for a replacement "Subwoofer Driver" used in the Promedia 2.1, as the Surrounds (rubber/foam?) on the orignal Subwoofer driver have completely disintegrated.
