  • Synergy Sub-10 trouble

I've been experiencing trouble with my sub the last few months. It will intermittently stop working, then i'll have to unplug the my RCA from the Left/LFE jack and plug it back in. It will then work for a while and stop. I have the sub set to be always on (not auto detect). It is only 6 months old. I...

  • SUB 10 vs RW-10d

I currently own a set of Quintet lll's and a Sub 10. Sub bought at Best Buy with 15 days to return and buy RW-10d. I have a 16x30 room(family room kitchen combo) with 10 to 12 foot traw ceiling. Love the quintets for their sound quality and unobtrusiveness. Should I return the Sub 10 and buy the RW-10d...

  • Synergy sub10 wakes but no noise

I have a 2 year old Synergy sub 10 subwoofer. It's connected to the LFE/Left connection to a Yamaha receiver. The sub is set to auto and wakes appropriately (as indicated by the blue LED), but no sound comes out. I ran test signals to the speakers and no sound was hitting the sub. The wiring checked...

  • Re: Subwoofer hookup to older receiver

Hey, I didn't mean to suggest frustration toward you or the info I've found on this forum! I'm grateful for your help and have learned a lot reading through the forum information - sorry if I offended! My frustration was more general than that - I usually can figure this sort of thing out. I currently...

  • Re: Subwoofer hookup to older receiver

Nothing. Not impressed - and a little frustrated....:(. There should be no reason I can't get a sub to work with my Denon AVR-610 receiver, right? I've read on this forum about dead subs bought at Best Buy on black Friday. What's the deal with that? I bought this at BB just the other day, but it was...

  • Subwoofer hookup to older receiver

I just got a subwoofer (Synergy Sub-10) to hook up to my Denon AVR-610, bought in 1992. This is the first I've gotten around to adding the subwoofer to the system. The receiver has a Pre-out mono jack that supposedly is to be used for a subwoofer. I've connected that jack to the Left/LFE connection on...

  • Any way to easily test a KSW10?

I have been using a KSW10 for several years with no problems. It was always left in the auto position because it was only used to watch DVD movies a few time a month. The indicator light still changes from RED to GREEN when it senses the Tuner/Amp is turned on, but no sound comes out. If I turn the two...

  • Re: Sub-10 vs. RPW-10

Thanks for the input. I demoed both and went with the sub-10 ($217+tax) It has a bit lower frequency response and all the other specs were vitually identical; plus I couldn't pass up the price. Do you use the sound meter to figure in the sub volume also? Been doing it by ear but I think I may need...
