  • Promedia 2.1 Amp

I bought a 2 year old system off of someone for $50 and everything was working. A couple days later, I hooked it up and the left speaker didnt work, I suspected wiring so I switched the wires and checked and now neither speaker works. Looking at a couple of options I opened the sub and found a blown...

  • Classic ground loop hum on Promedia 5.1 with or without source.

Hi Folks! I get a quiet 60hz hum on subwoofer, front, center, and probably rear. I get it with and without the inputs plugged in. Yes, I've tried other outlets, same hum. I tried unplugging speakers. It's pretty much always there, same loudness regardless of the volume setting. Is it likely something...

  • Hope this forum is still alive, problem with 2.1's...

God I held Klipsch in such high regard, I still do but this is killing me inside. Anyway, I got the Promedia's worked great for about 2/3 months, and while I was playing my 360 on my TV, using TV speakers, I heard a buzz from my 2.1's and I immediately looked at the Green LED and it flickered...

  • Re: promedia ultra 2.0: sometimes no sound

I had a similar experience with my ProMedia Ultra 2.0 Computer Speakers, which I purchased at an Apple store in May. They were brilliant for about four months of low usage, and I never played them loudly. Then I began experiencing popping, crackling, unsteady volume levels, and alternating speaker failure...

  • iFi vs. Promedia 2.1

Hey everyone, I've been a big fan of Klipsch products ever since my first Promedia 2.1 system that I bought four or five years ago. Currently, I own two Promedia 2.1 systems, Image X-10 headphones, Custom 3 headphones, and most recently an iFi system. I've always considered the Promedias to be...

  • 2 problems

Hello. I bought my ProMedia 2.1's used and the guy had had them hooked up earlier on, so maybe he gave me different cables. Well actually he gave me minijack to minijack cables and said to split them on one end and hook it up. I did this and tested them on my dad's old Yamaha amplifier that uses...

  • Dead 4.1 (no power)

No power to the sub. Light does not go on. Opened the control pod and sub but didn't find anything unusual. No burnt smell. Replaced fuse but nothing. 1. Is the DIN plug the problem? 2. Where can I find a professional to fix it? (SF Bay Area)
